Community-Based Management of Sundarbans

Started in 2006, the objective of this program is to advance the understanding of collaborative natural resources management through practice. The CBMS is part ot the Forest People Programme (FPP), an international initiative promoting sustainable, community-based territorial management and self-determined development in communities.

Unnayan Onneshan implements the program in in the Sundarbans, the world's largest single block of Mangroves, by providing technical assistance, through Mangrove-Aqua-Silviculture activities, capacity building and action research.
