Mohammed Abdul Baten has been coordinating Climate Change, Biodiversity and DRR unit of Unnayan Onneshan having positioned as Senior Research Associate. Having graduated from University of Stockholm in Ecosystems, Governance and Globalisation, Mr. Baten teaches at Independent University in the School of Environmental Science and Management. He is also engaged with University of Dhaka as Adjunct Faculty in Department of Development Studies. His research interest pertains to Economics of Climate Change, Financialization of Biodiversity, Property Rights, and Systems Ecology. He has published couple of peer reviewed journal articles, book chapters, occasional papers. He is regularly contributing in national and international newspapers on various environmental and social issues. Mr. Baten is very active in international environmental negotiation process and representing local community in UNCBD negotiation. He has attended and presented papers in many international seminars including key note speaker in UNCBD in their SBSTTA 15.
